You're role
YPFP Brussels is on the lookout for an enthusiastic and dedicated Advisors Program
Officer to join in September 2026, right on time for the launch of the new program
cycle. As Advisors Program officer, you will coordinate the program cycle, manage the
engagement with advisees and advisors, organise workshops and social events, and
prepare next year’s cycle.
What you'll do
Program Development - Execution and Strategic Planning
● With the support of another advisor program officer and in cooperation with the Deputy Director, ensure smooth implementation of the 2026 program cycle (You will be two officers in total working on the program).
● Collaborate closely with YPFP leadership to align the program with the organization's mission and strategic goals.
● Lead the conceptualization of the 2027 cycle, including thematic focus, long-term objectives, advisor/advisee engagement strategy, and timeline design. Recruitment and Matching
● Support and maintain the advisor-advisee relationships for the current cycle. ● For the next cycle, attract and recruit mentors and mentees from YPFP Brussels' membership and external networks.
● Precision-match mentors and mentees based on their career goals, interests, and expertise. Orientation and Training
● Conduct informative orientation sessions for mentors and mentees to ensure clarity on program expectations and goals.
● Organise workshops, skills training and other events to equip participants with resources and effective training capabilities. Monitoring and Support
● Regularly assess progress and address challenges or concerns by maintaining consistent communication with mentors and mentees.
● Provide ongoing guidance and support to mentor-mentee pairs throughout the program, ensuring sustained engagement. Program Evaluation
● Solicit feedback from participants to continually evaluate the program's effectiveness, making necessary improvements.
● Prepare detailed reports and presentations on program outcomes for YPFP leadership.

● Strong organizational and project management capabilities.
● Familiarity with foreign policy and international affairs is advantageous.
● Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
● Willingness to commit approximately 5–6 hours per week (these hours may vary depending the stage of program implementation).
● Ability to respond to emails and communications within 48 hours.
● Proficiency in both written and spoken English.
Must be resident in Brussels, Belgium.

All branch roles are fully remote. However, it is highly valuable for volunteers to be based in or near their branch city to engage with local partnerships and attend in-person events when possible. The Global (Virtual) Branch is the exception—it welcomes candidates from anywhere in the world.
