As someone who has lived across 3 continents, I've developed a habit of connecting with people from all walks of life. Volunteering with YPFP offers an unique opportunity to meet and grow with like-minded young people who are also ambitious and wants to leave a positive impact on the world. I come from a background of principally-minded policy and advocacy work across NGOs, and want to keep honing my skills while expanding my mind to other poignant topics. The volunteers I've met at YPFP events previously have shown me proactiveness, positivity and an open mind. I am excited to continue producing high quality events on timely & imperative topics with diverse partners, while growing with colleagues and attendees alike.
Bio
YuChen's main focus at YPFP is on how critical global security & defense issues impact human development. She is also the liaison between YPFP Brussels and the Quaker Council for European Affairs. In her career, she is experienced with EU policy monitoring, advocacy research, strategic communications, and public affairs. Her career has been directly tied to value-driven organizations focusing on the themes of gender equality, peace building, and economic empowerment.
