Communications Officer
N/A
I joined YPFP Tokyo to connect with young professionals passionate about global affairs, deepen my understanding of foreign policy, and contribute through my experience in international communication and intercultural engagement.
Bio
My name is Tharusha Dilshan, and I am completing my undergraduate degree in International Relations and Peace Studies at Ritsumeikan Asia Pacific University (APU). My main interests are international relations, peacebuilding, public diplomacy, and intercultural education. Alongside my studies, I work as an Immigration Administration Officer at Willtec Co., Ltd. and as an intercultural learning facilitator with AFS International and AFS Japan.

Fun Fact:
• I’ve lived in Japan since I was 12(not continuously) and somehow ended up speaking Japanese more often than my native language. • I love road trips, hot springs, and cafés—give me a free weekend and I’ll probably disappear somewhere in Japan. • I speak four languages and love learning about different cultures—though deciding which language to think in can get confusing! • I’m from Sri Lanka, have spent much of my life in Japan, and I’m always looking for my next international adventure.
