Rushan Aziz (Ajizu)
Programming Officer
Programming Officer for YPFP Tokyo Security Team
Meaningful policy change can only begin with those who will live with its consequences. I joined YPFP to be part of a youth network that can address the social challenges of a rapidly changing world, from tense borders, to the fragile climate, and unimaginable technologies, with fresh ideas and open-minded actions.
Bio
I am a 2nd year graduate student at The University of Tokyo's Graduate School of Public Policy. I have a background in social sciences. I am primarily interested in research related to human security, migration, and international development cooperation. I have done research internships and jobs with BRAC University in Dhaka for Rohingya refugee management, Waseda University in Tokyo for sustainable city development, and with the Embassy of Pakistan in Japan for bilateral trade expansion. I also work as a TA for my graduate school program, and have been working as an internship program coordinator at Ashinaga Foundation since last year.

Fun Fact:
I can speak 4 languages (with varying levels of confidence depending on the day)
