Bio
Van-Thien Nguyen is a current Master’s student in Sustainability Science at the University of Tokyo, Japan. With a deep commitment to environmental issues, Van-Thien has actively contributed to research and social projects. She co-authored the "Special Report: Youth for Climate Action in Viet Nam 2022," and “Youth engagement for a sustainable future: Strengthening climate change education in Viet Nam” with UNDP in Vietnam, and published a study on sustainable consumer behaviors. Previously, Van-Thien served as a Youth Researcher in the Youth Policy Working Group and Youth Train-the-Trainer on Energy transition, contributing insights to shape policies that advance energy transition and climate education. Joining YPFP Tokyo, Van-Thien seeks to encourage meaningful youth participation and advocate for policies driving sustainable development, ensuring young people play an active role in shaping their own future.
