2026年10月16日、YPFP Tokyoは駐日コソボ共和国大使館を訪問し、外交、持続可能な開発、イノベーション、そして若者の参画をテーマにお話を伺いました。

当日は、コソボの歴史や2008年の独立以降の国づくり、民主主義の発展、そして国際社会との関係について、駐日コソボ共和国大使より貴重なお話をいただきました。また、再生可能エネルギーへの移行やICT分野の成長、食料安全保障や生物多様性の保全など、コソボが直面する課題と今後の可能性についても学びました。

質疑応答では、民族間の緊張や紛争を対話によって解決することの重要性、日本とコソボの協力関係、そしてこれからの外交を担う若者に求められる姿勢について意見交換を行いました。特に印象的だったのは、外交とは単に国と国との関係を築くことだけではなく、人々の声に耳を傾け、多様な視点を理解し、信頼関係を築いていくことだというお話です。

On October 16, 2026, YPFP Tokyo had the pleasure of visiting the Embassy of the Republic of Kosovo in Tokyo for a discussion on diplomacy, sustainable development, innovation, and youth engagement.

During the visit, the Ambassador shared insights into Kosovo’s history, its journey toward independence in 2008, and its ongoing efforts to build a democratic society and strengthen international partnerships. We also learned about Kosovo’s priorities in renewable energy, the growth of its ICT sector, and efforts to address challenges related to food security, biodiversity, and water resources.

The Q&A session offered an opportunity to exchange views on ethnic tensions and conflict resolution through dialogue, Japan–Kosovo relations, and the role of young people in shaping the future of diplomacy. One message that particularly resonated with us was that diplomacy is not only about relations between countries, but also about listening to people, understanding different perspectives, and building trust across differences.
