2025 marked the 30th anniversary of the Beijing Declaration and Platform for Action—a landmark global commitment to advancing gender equality, signed by 189 countries at the 1995 Fourth World Conference on Women. The Declaration outlined 12 critical areas of concern including poverty, education, health, violence against women, economic participation, and political representation.
Three decades on, we asked: how far have we come, and where do we go from here?
This event brought together cross-sectoral leaders, policymakers, advocates, and next-generation voices to reflect on global progress, persistent gaps, and the unfinished business of Beijing. Framed by the outcomes of the UN Commission on the Status of Women's 69th session (CSW69) and Beijing+30 global review, this timely conversation focused on reenergizing commitments to gender equity in a fast-changing geopolitical, technological, and environmental landscape.
