Nueteki Akuetteh is the Director for Public Policy at Vulcan where she leads government engagement on ocean health, climate change, and wildlife conservation. Before Vulcan, she was a senior policy advisor for the Government of the United Kingdom, where she provided counsel to Ambassadors, Ministers, and the Royal Family on a wide range of environmental and social issues addressed by the UK in the context of the G7 and G20, including women’s economic empowerment, pandemic preparedness, and nature-based solutions.

In 2021, Teki was awarded the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire (MBE) by Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth for services that advanced global health and the COVID-19 response.

She earned a bachelor’s degree from James Madison University and a master’s degree from New York University.
