Celebrating 10 years of YPFP Brussels
Since our launch in 2008, the Brussels branch of Young Professionals in Foreign Policy has welcomed thousands of members to hundreds of events, organised by many talented volunteers. Whether it be our Ambassador Series or pub quizzes, we are extremely proud of everything we have achieved in ten years, and look forward to many more exciting opportunities in the next ten years (and then some).
To celebrate our successes in the last decade, we are delighted to announce the launch of our first YPFP Global Summit. Taking place between 26-28 September, the summit’s topic is ‘Youth Transatlantic Relations’, which will focus on strengthening the U.S. and EU bonds that our members share with our sister branches and hubs across the world.
The summit will feature a wide array of activities, including a new member orientation, visits to the European institutions and NATO, and an Ambassador Series event with Australia.
The Summit will culminate with our annual YPFP Gala. This exclusive dinner and drinks will give you the chance to raise a toast to YPFP Brussels, meet members and staff from across the YPFP network, and listen to our keynote speaker, Rose Gottemoeller, NATO’s Deputy Secretary General.
Here’s an overview of all our Global Summit events:
26 September: Welcome Reception with Walter Parrs, Programs and Exchanges Officer, U.S. Mission to the EU,
27 September: Ambassador Series event with Australia
27 September: Visit to the European Parliament
28 September: Visit to NATO
28 September: Gala Summit 2018 with keynote speaker Rose Gottemoeller, NATO’s Deputy Secretary General.
We look forward to celebrating our 10th anniversary with you!
