David A. Wemer

David A. Wemer is the Director & Managing Editor of the Fellowship Program at Young Professionals in Foreign Policy (YPFP). He formerly served as an Assistant Managing Editor, and the 2016 Europe Fellow, of the Fellowship Program. David is Assistant Director, editorial at the Atlantic Council where he writes and edits for the New Atlanticist blog. David's writings have also been feautred in the Huffington Post, The Diplomatic Courier, Euroactiv, and Real Clear World. He is a member of the German Marshall Fund's Young Transatlantic Network and was a delegate at the 2016 Transatlantic Youth Summit hosted by the European People's Party and the International Republican Institute. He formerly worked as a Program Coordinator for the Eisenhower Institute. In 2013, David was awarded the American Historical Association's Raymond J. Cunningham Prize for his work on the economic transition in Slovakia. David received a MSc in European Union Politics from London School of Economics and a BA from Gettysburg College.
