We are pleased to announce the launch of the YPFP Salon, our new debate club, where we will give members the opportunity to share and discuss current current topics in international affairs with an expert on of the topic in a smaller, more intimate style. We will encourage members to prepare more fully for this event with some background reading to ensure we have the fullest debate.
We are delighted to start the series by welcoming Professor Gaim Kibreab who will be leading the debate on: 'Local conflict to international crisis - assessing the impact of 4 years of Syrian war.'
Professor Kibreab is a Research Professor and Course Director of the MSc Refugee Studies at London South Bank University, School of Law and Social Sciences in the Department of Social Science. He has published widely on forced migration (refugees, development-induced displacement, internally displaced persons, and environmentally-induced population displacement), development and governance in post-conflict societies.
We will send out material in advance of the event and strongly encourage you to do what preparation you can.
To note: the entrance to 1 Parliament is opposite Whitehall.
