We are happy to announce the return of Policy Picnics! Join us in a relaxed setting after work to discuss today's current events over some snacks and sun, while meeting new people. You are the speaker and are welcome to share your thoughts on the hot topics of the day in an informal, off the record setting. The first event in our series will focus on recent events in North Korea. Kim Jong-Un's growing aggressiveness has been reflected in recent years through a growing number of missile tests. Some intelligence experts now believe North Korea has ballistic misses capable of striking Alaska or Hawaii. US President Trump has repeatedly called on China to de-escalate the situation, sometimes praising Beijing for its efforts, other times saying more needs to be done. But what are China's interests in the Korean Peninsula? Does it really have the power to persuade North Korea from continuing its missile programme? Join us for the discussion on Tuesday!
