YPFP Launches YPFP Discussion Group Series - Join Now!
Discussion Groups
To give YPFP members the opportunity to exchange ideas in a small group setting, YPFP is launching a series of Discussion Groups. These groups aim to bring together YPFP members within various fields of foreign policy, providing them with a forum to exchange views, discuss current events, share resources and opportunities, present and receive feedback on their writing and current work, and expand their conversations beyond YPFP's regular events. In addition to providing another venue for discussion, we also hope these groups will strengthen the YPFP community by fostering personal as well as professional relationships.
This July, YPFP will launch the first six Discussion Groups focusing on thematic or regional areas:

Group Membership:
All YPFP members are encouraged to sign-up to join one Discussion Group; however, in order to keep the discussions small, only a limited number of people can be included. Discussions will aim to be highly substantive, and will be geared toward those with a professional interest or background in the field. Because the Discussion Groups are intended to create a running conversation among members, regular participation is expected from those who join.

YPFP's goal is to find a spot in a Discussion Group for any YPFP member who wishes to participate in them. However, in order to preserve the character of the community and discussion in the Discussion Groups, the number of participants in each Group must be capped. YPFP will only place members in a Discussion Group who are appropriate for that specific group. Members who do not initially get placed in a Group, will remain on a waiting list, and will be given priority. YPFP will add additional groups over time to meet the demand for participation, with the hope that any member who wishes to, will eventually be placed. We ask that YPFP Members who are not initially selected for a Group, please be patient. The waiting list will be notified first when additional groups are formed, and we'll do our best to accommodate you.
