YPFP Brussels speaker, Kolinda Grabar-Kitarović, becomes President of the Republic of Croatia

YPFP Brussels congratulates Kolinda Grabar-Kitarović, a previous YPFP speaker, on becoming the first female President of the Republic of Croatia.

It's a real testament to the quality of people we have as speakers in YPFP's network” says Katrina Murray, Executive Director of YPFP Brussels. “Not only are they helping to train the next generation of foreign policy leaders, they are becoming those leaders themselves. After attending the event with US President Obama in 2014, YPFP Brussels members can also say they have been trained directly by another of today's young leaders, President Grabar-Kitarović. We wish her all the best in her tenure as Croatia's President.”

While serving as NATO’s Assistant Secretary General for Public Diplomacy, President Grabar-Kitarović launched YPFP Brussels’ interactive Tools of the Trade Series, on negotiation skills. Previous speakers in the series have included, Daniel Mitov, Foreign Minister of Bulgaria, Jonathan Parrish, Speechwriter to the NATO Secretary General, and Elena Bryan, Senior Trade Representative at the US Mission to the EU.

The team at YPFP Brussels wishes President Grabar-Kitarović the best during her mandate.
