YPFP Young Leaders Series: Eva Paunova

The international scene has seen in the recent years more and more young people actively engaging in the civil society and embracing leadership roles. Young people who are not afraid to impose their views on older generations, promote their ideas and projects and have an impact on the policy-making processes.

YPFP's new Young Leaders series aims at showcasing success stories of young influential leaders who managed to build outstanding careers, with the objective to show how they work to defend causes and share tips and advice on how our members can build their own path.

For the first event of this series, YPFP Brussels is thrilled to welcome Eva Paunova, Member of the European Parliament, as a guest speaker. Eva is a Member of the European Parliament (MEP), part of the largest political family - the Group of the EPP - European People's Party. Her signature topics relate to innovation and start-ups, with a focus on creating an enabling environment for entrepreneurs and enhancing investment opportunities and access to venture capital, as well as developing capital markets. Eva believes that Europe ́s competitive potential can be realised through digital technologies and thus is working towards the completion of the Digital Single Market and the development of e-skills. A member of the Internal Market and Consumer Protection Committee, as well as the key Economic and Monetary Affairs Committee at the European Parliament. Eva received the prestigious "Best MEP Award" less than a year into her mandate.

She was also included in Politico 28, the top "28 people from 28 countries who are shaping, shaking and stirring Europe", and is part of the Forbes "30 under 30" list, featuring the brightest young entrepreneurs, breakout talents and change agents in 20 different sectors. The Financial Times included her in their "New Europe 100" - the second annual ranking of central and eastern Europe’s brightest and best people who are changing the status quo through their ideas and innovative solutions.

Between now and the event you can send us your questions for MEP Eva Paunova with the hashtag #ypfpYL!
