William McHenry is the 2018 Eastern Europe & Euroasia Fellow at Young Professionals in Foreign Policy. He is a Program Associate for the Program on New Approaches to Research and Security in Euroasia (PONARS). Before joining PONARS Euroasia, he interned at the Center for a New American Security in the Transatlantic Security Program, at the German Marshall Fund and at the Center for European Policy Analysis. He received his Masters in International Affairs from the American University, School of International Service with a focus on Eurasia, and he holds a B.A from Linfield College in Political Science. While a graduate student, he consulted for the Defense Intelligence Agency for his degree's capstone project, studied abroad in the Republic of Georgia and attended Middlebury College's intensive Russian language program.
