Join YPFP NY for a fluid discussion on water as it pertains to foreign affairs, spirituality, and the cosmos, with water diplomacy expert Dr. Gul Ozerol, Assistant Professor from the University of Twente in the Netherlands, and visual artist and astrologist George H. Lewis. The discussion will take place at NYU Wagner's Gallery Space whose Spring 2017 exhibition features Lewis' "The Consciousness of Water", on display through July 28.
Curated by Frankie Crescioni-Santoni, the displayed seascapes are a meditation on the nexus between cosmos, human spirit, and bodies of water. At once alluring and menacing, Lewis' depictions of oceanic and river views explore the transformative power of water and the intrinsic reciprocity between our treatment of ecosystems and our collective consciousness.
