Our environment requires us to give feedback, receive feedback, and initiate interaction with others on a daily basis, both in our private and professional lives. This demands the ability to be appropriately assertive. Assertiveness is not what you do, it is who you are. How much personal impact do you want to have on your colleagues and clients? Are you dissatisfied with your way of dealing with people? Do you receive feedback telling that you could be more present or less aggressive in important discussions?
This workshop will be led by Sibylle Ouwerx, certified coach from New York University, former lawyer and executive coach in Brussels since 2008, whose clients include major companies and NGOs such as McKinsey, GDF SUEZ and Arcelor Mittal. Sibylle will help you to figure out what your barriers are, how to deal with them, how to be more vocal and establish your presence, how to deal with confrontation and when to intervene in a discussion.
This workshop will provide you with practical exercises that you can carry out and use in your communication in your everyday life. The "theory" will be brought to the minimum and will be followed by an interactive session where you will have the chance to practise being assertive in exercises and role-plays.
