Tools of the Trade workshop - How to be an active citizen

Have you ever told yourself that you would like to have a more active role in the political process, be able to reach out to your elected representatives, submit ideas and comments, without however having the tools to do so and make your voice heard? In this Tools of the Trade workshop, Kader Sevinç will tell you how we could conceive the future of politics in a way that would give citizens a much more active role in the way politics are conducted and have a chance to impact politicians.

Kader Sevinç is an international relations practitioner, social entrepreneur and poet. She is currently a member of the PES Presidency Council (Party of European Socialists & Democrats); she is also the EU representative of CHP, the Turkish social democratic and main opposition party, in Brussels. On top of her political career, Kader is a non-resident Transatlantic fellow of the SAIS (Johns Hopkins University - Washington), member of the PES Transatlantic Delegation-US, founder of the Brussels-based debate club, the Turkish Coffee Briefings; executive board member of the Progessive Thought Institute (Istanbul) and founder of the educational initiative, the Sinif-1B (Brussels).

The registration is only open for YPFP members.
