Sam Worthington, President & CEO of InterAction, will share his thoughts on the future of sustainable development.

Mr. Worthington's biography:
Sam Worthington has led InterAction as President and CEO since 2006. In collaboration with key partners and stakeholders, InterAction is a vital force advocating on behalf of the world’s poor and vulnerable, protecting civil society space, promoting partnership with civil society as a means of globally addressing poverty, and more. Worthington is member of the Council on Foreign Relations, serves on the Advisory Committee for Voluntary Foreign Assistance (ACVFA) at USAID and the Inter-Agency Standing Committee (IASC) at the United Nations, and sits on the boards of the Van Leer Group, CIVICUS, U.S. Global Leadership Coalition, The Alliance to End Hunger and is also an international trustee of Religions for Peace.
He also chaired the Independent Sector’s Ethics and Accountability Advisory Committee and has recently served as a resident policy fellow at the Rockefeller Foundation’s Bellagio Center in Italy. A Fulbright scholar, Worthington has a master’s degree with distinction from the Monterey Institute of International Studies and a bachelor’s degree from the University of Vermont. Prior to joining InterAction, he served as CEO of Plan USA from 1993-2006.
