Few countries are economically, socially, and politically as interconnected with the world as Switzerland. Switzerland depends on a stable and open international environment and needs good relations with its partners. To ensure this, Switzerland’s foreign policy goals are enshrined in the Federal Constitution. Switzerland wants to continue to promote dialogue and constructive solutions and to act as bridge-builder to help resolve conflicts.
Please join YPFP NY for a very special Global Diplomacy Series at the Consulate General of Switzerland where we will hear Ambassador André Schaller, Consul General of Switzerland in New York, speak about Swiss-US relations. Deputy Consul General Giorgio Pompilio will speak about the general principles of Swiss foreign policy, followed by Deputy Permanent Representative Olivier Zehnder, who will speak about Switzerland’s role at the United Nations. Emphasis will be discussion with audience participation.
This event will take place on Tuesday, April 12th from 6:00 to 8:00 PM, at an address to be revealed to confirmed attendees. Doors open at 6:00 PM; the event begins promptly at 6:30 PM. Drinks will be served upon arrival and hors d'oeuvres will be passed following the presentation and discussion, courtesy of the Consulate General of Switzerland.
Entrance is free to dues-paying members of YPFP. Non-members must pay $10 to attend via PayPal to firstname.lastname@example.org.
