Speed Networking with Young Diplomats

One of the most traditional routes to a foreign policy careers is as a diplomat – representing your country’s interests and culture to an international audience. The professional experience of diplomats can include negotiating agreements and treaties, promotion of their home country or helping their compatriots if they need assistance overseas. Diplomats also serve as civil servants in their home country, providing policy advice and reporting to their respective governments.

The evening will begin with a panel session, before breaking into groups to allow you to ‘speed network’ with our guest speakers. The event is generously hosted by the Hessen Representation in Brussels, and will include an introduction by the Hessen Secretary of State for European Affairs, Mark Weinmeister.

The event will be held under the Chatham House rule.
