The Brookings Institution seeks to fill a Research Assistant position. The Research Assistant provides research and administrative support to Brookings’s Environment Scholar and Senior Fellow.

Excellent benefits include five weeks of vacation per year, partial educational reimbursement, Metrochek. Near Dupont Circle Metro. Salary is $36,000 - $38,000 per year.

Education/Experience Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s degree preferred with extremely strong academic record. One year relevant work experience required. Proven interest and research ability in public policy relating to energy and environment, including global warming.
Knowledge Requirements:
Motivated, self-starter able to work independently. Outstanding ability to analyze difficult problems and write about them clearly. Excellent organizational skills and strong oral communicator. Ability to prioritize work. Superior research and information technology skills.
