Job description:

The Project Coordinator will work in close cooperation with the other Project Managers and Assistants and will directly report to the Director of the Development Office. Main tasks and responsibilities include:

  • Assisting the Director in the daily management of the Office;
  • Finding new initiatives and opportunities for business development;
  • Cooperating in the implementation of prospection activities and initiating projects;
  • Oversee the development, implementation and monitoring of projects;
  • Assisting the Director in ensuring operational efficiencies and strategic outputs of the Office;
  • Assisting the Director in the provision of general support to the team;
  • Initiating, negotiating and managing project activities with international partners of the COE;
  • Project Management & PM’s tasks & responsibilities (including writing of project proposals);
  • Managing procurement, contracts and training services;
  • Management of teams of experts;
  • Writing tenders and project applications in English/French;
  • Liaising with experts, professors, trainers, participants and partners worldwide;
  • Implementing and coordinating projects and training seminars;
  • Attending meetings and events including travel;
  • Budgeting and reporting.

Job qualifications:

  • University degree (in European studies, law, economics, political sciences or international relations) and a postgraduate degree in EU affairs;
  • At least 5 years of relevant professional experience in project management proving a very good understanding of the EU and its institutions;
  • Knowledge of and relevant experience with tendering procedures and EU terminology;
  • Excellent English writing skills (candidates not complying with the requested level will not be considered); excellent Frenchwriting skills and other languages are considered as an asset;
  • Computer literacy;
  • Good analytical and organisational skills and ability to meet tight deadlines;
  • Able to work both autonomously and as a team player in a multicultural environment;
  • Result-oriented approach and a proactive and cooperative outlook;
  • Open personality with strong interpersonal, communication and networking skills and a flexible and dynamic attitude.
