From UN resolutions or treaties to agreeing a departmental budget, negotiation forms the bedrock of a career in international affairs. Conducting a successful negotiation takes strong communication skills, good personal relationships and a well-prepared process. But above all, it requires thorough planning.
YPFP London members are invited to an interactive workshop in negotiation planning skills. A trained facilitator with experience from diplomatic postings in New York and Brussels will demonstrate some helpful theories and exercises to sharpen your skills and improve the quality of your negotiated outcomes.
Please come prepared to share your personal experiences of negotiation, and to join in a range of exercises. This 1.5 hour session is an introductory module. A more lengthy negotiation exercise will be offered at a later date.
You must be a YPFP London member to attend. Places are limited.
