Izakaya Dinner and Shochu Tasting with Experts

We invite you to join us for an intimate dinner discussion with Devin Stewart at Izakaya on East 6th street. The set menu (including everything except gratuity) is $45/person for members and $55/person for non-members.

Stewart is Senior Director and Senior Fellow at Carnegie Council for Ethics in International Affairs.

Complimentary shochu will be served by Stephen Lyman, New York's leading shochu expert.

The evening will begin with a brief overview from Stewart of the nearly 250 interviews he has conducted in Japan over the past three years on societal change (gender, entrepreneurship, education, etc.). For background readings, start with our interview with Stewart on Prime Minister Abe's recent visit to the U.S. You can find some of his articles here.
