About YPFP

YPFP is committed to fostering the next generation of foreign policy leaders and increasing NextGen voices in debates about global issues by providing its members with the knowledge, skills, exposure, and relationships they will need to tackle critical international challenges now and over the course of their careers.

YPFP is a dynamic, global, nonpartisan, nonprofit organization with 15,000+ members around the world who work in all fields of
international affairs. It was established in 2004, and is headquartered in Washington, DC, with branches in Brussels, London, and New York. YPFP is supported by around 150 volunteer staff members worldwide, for whom the leadership and management of a global NGO supplements their daytime career or graduate studies.

About the Team

The Membership team is composed of a Membership Director along with two Deputy Membership Directors. The goal of the membership team is to:

  • Work to increase partnerships with like-minded organizations in the NYC Foreign Policy Community
  • Assist with the biannual New Membership Orientation and Professional Development Events
  • Assist in recruiting new members and expand membership benefits for dues paying members
  • Manage membership inquiries on NationBuilder

Tasks and Responsibilities

The YPFP-NY chapter is seeking a Deputy Membership Director to assist the membership team with recruiting new members, partnering with like-minded organizations in the New York foreign policy community, attend events and seek opportunities expand benefits for our members. The position requires a commitment of 2-3 hours a week and reports to the NY Membership Director.
