YPFP in the Classroom

YPFP in the Classroom's mission is to expose traditionally under-served students to global affairs and current events, with the aim of fostering intellectual curiosity, international awareness, and civic engagement. YPFP-C volunteers engage directly with the students and have a positive direct impact on the DC community.

Partners
Cesar Chavez Public Charter School: YPFP-C has partnered with the Cesar Chavez Public Charter School to support their Model UN program. Volunteers met every Tuesday in 2009-2010, and worked with the students on understanding the UN and preparing for conferences. YPFP-C has also had members participate in Career Days and a Darfur Youth Summit for Cezar Chavez.
Thurgood Marshall Public Charter High School :YPFP-C will be partnering with the Thurgood Marshall Public Charter High School's mentor program this fall 2010. This highly selective program will be limited to a few volunteers, applications will be open shortly.
