Deadline for Discounted WFPG Membership

Aug 15 2008 - 8:00am
Aug 15 2008 - 11:59pm

The Women’s Foreign Policy Group is actively recruiting young professionals in foreign policy (both women & men). Register as a Young Professional before August 15th and receive a special introductory membership in the Women’s Foreign Policy Group for the remainder of the calendar year at a discounted rate of $50. This one-time offer will allow you to join the WFPG in time to join us for our upcoming programs. In addition to our Annual Luncheon Event, we will also be holding a conference on Islam this fall and will continue to offer other substantive programs on foreign policy issues including special events like our Author and Embassy Series events.

The WFPG’s in-depth global issues programs highlight women leaders and their contributions. Recent programs have focused on Islam and human rights, U.S.-Iranian relations, the Indian economy, and UN briefings. Each year the WFPG hosts an Annual Luncheon. Last year’s program featured Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice and was moderated by Andrea Mitchell of NBC News. Previous speakers have included former Secretary of State Madeleine Albright, President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf of Liberia, and Senators Hillary Rodham Clinton and Kay Bailey Hutchison.

The WFPG is a nonpartisan, educational non-profit organization dedicated to promoting women’s leadership in international affairs. The organization partners with many foreign policy organizations and is a key player in broadening the constituency for international affairs, bringing together participants from across disciplines and linking women domestically and internationally. The WFPG also hosts mentoring activities that promote the next generation of leaders.

As a WFPG Member you will receive:

Opportunities to connect with officials and ambassadors

Discounts on frequent international issues programs with prominent speakers in NY & DC

Exclusive invitations to and priority seating at WFPG special events
