YPFP is an organization of young professionals who are embarking on careers in foreign policy and international affairs. Our membership is comprised of over one thousand young professionals.

We draw our membership from an impressive variety of foreign policy institutions and government agencies, non-profits and corporations, and policy-related graduate programs and law schools. Some of our members work on specific issues such as terrorism or sustainable development, while others have developed regional specializations in the Middle East or Latin America.

Our members hail from all over the country, and in some cases, from overseas. Our ranks include Republicans and Democrats, realists and idealists, and all the range of opinion between. We are professional colleagues, and we are also friends. But we are all united by two traits: a passion for international affairs and a desire to shape foreign policy.
