New Member Orientation and Happy Hour
Congratulations to the incoming winter class of Young Professionals in Foreign Policy, the premier organization connecting future foreign policy leaders!
Thursday, February 18 at 6:30 p.m., we will hold a New Member Orientation and Happy Hour for members admitted to YPFP since November 2009. This is a great opportunity for you to meet your fellow members, and to learn about the ways you can get involved in YPFP.
Topics that will be covered include:
- An introduction to YPFP's programming, including the Ambassador Series, Tools of the Trade Series, Words and Wires, Cultural Series, Global and Human Development Series, and the Civil-Military Dialogue
- Public Service opportunities to assist refugees, inner-city high school students, and veterans
- Volunteer and leadership opportunities to become more involved in YPFP
- YPFP's 17 Discussion Groups and how you can join them
- A tutorial on the features of the www.ypfp.org Web site including how to post or search for jobs, member profiles, events, and articles
- Answers about the organization's membership policies, history, overseas branches, and future plans
RSVP as soon as possible as space will be assigned on a first response basis. The event will be held at the Center for Strategic & International Studies at 1800 K St. NW, Washington, DC.
