Membership Categories, Rates, and Benefits

All members of YPFP are eligible for either General or Affiliate membership status. General members pay annual dues of only $35 and are able to take advantage of myriad YPFP offerings and other exclusive benefits. Affiliate members pay no dues and have access to more limited benefits.

General Member

  • Membership in a dynamic organization dedicated to providing programming, networking, and professional development opportunities for young professionals working in or interested in the field of foreign policy.
  • Invitations to YPFP and select non-YPFP events and series, providing exclusive access to presentations and discussions with foreign policy leaders and experts from the public, private, and corporate sectors.
  • Invitations to select YPFP Counselors Program events with accomplished foreign policy professionals who share their perspectives and mentor YPFP members.

  • Eligibility to apply for international travel opportunities through YPFP, as opportunities arise.

  • Invitations to YPFP Special Events and Series, including the Ambassador Series, and other events with foreign dignitaries and international leaders.
  • Invitations to YPFP social events and fundraising events at a reduced fee or at no charge.
  • Invitation to the YPFP Annual Conference at a reduced fee, providing access to notable current and former foreign policy experts and practitioners, and enabling unique networking opportunities with other members.
  • Opportunities to participate in YPFP Service Opportunities including YPFP in the Classroom, the Refugee Assistance Program, and the Global Partners Program.
  • Full access to all features of the YPFP website at www.ypfp.org, including the job board, YPFP membership directory, YPFP blog, international networking opportunities, original and reproduced articles on foreign policy topics written by YPFP members, and YPFP foreign policy event calendars for all of our branches.

  • Invitation to the YPFP Annual Conference at the full fee, providing access to presentations and discussions with notable current and former foreign policy experts and practitioners, and unique networking opportunities with other YPFP members.
