Lily Lousada, Middle East Fellow

Lily Lousada is based in Jordan where she works on conflict mitigation, socio-political stability, and governance development. Prior to that, Lousada worked as a consultant for the United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) on emergency, and non-emergency relief efforts across the region. She gradated early, with a double major in Middle East Studies and International Relations at Pitzer College where she founded the Claremont Journal of International Relations and completed her undergraduate research thesis on tribal-state relations in Jordan and Yemen. She has been living and working in the Middle East since 2014, and speaks Arabic and Spanish.
