Katherine Tan, Fellow, Sustainable Development

Katherine Tan is a development professional, specializing in private sector development.

She has served as a Bankers without Borders Fellow for the Grameen Foundation, where she worked with the COO and CTO on global business operations and technology strategy for the organization. Prior to that, she worked in the private sector for four years, including three years as a Chief-of-Staff to the President of Bridgewater Associates, a $160 billion global hedge fund, where she implemented high-priority strategic and operational initiatives.

Katherine graduated cum laude from Harvard College in 2010 with an Honors B.A. in Economics.

In her free time, she has driven market strategy research for Biz Corps, a start-up social enterprise founded by the former president of the U.S. Overseas Private Investment Corporation, as well as impact measurement work for StartingBloc Institute, a program for social change leaders.
