Job Description

Ever wanted to help overthrow a dictator? Interested in the Middle East? Want to help continue the Arab Spring? Look no further! The joint office for the Syrian Emergency Task Force and United for Free Syria are currently looking for a bright, committed, self-starter who is interested in working to help support the Syrian people in their fight for freedom and democracy. We have a number of initiatives, including Congressional advocacy, communications, social media advocacy and community outreach. Policy Fellows who would like to gain experience both working in the DC political environment while honing their writing skills are highly encouraged to apply.

Job Duties

Policy Fellows will be expected to draft letters to members of Congress, attend Syria-related events around the city, blog on the latest news from Syria, draft press releases, website maintenance and general management duties in the office.

Job Requirements

Fellows should be self- motivated and willing to work in a fluid, fast-paced work environment. This is a full-time three-month position. Applicants proficient in Arabic are highly preferred.
