Job Description: The Media Monitoring Analyst provides The Rendon Group's (TRG) clients with real-time information as it relates to our clients’ specifications. We are looking for someone to average around 24 hours per week and will work every other weekend on the overnight shift (11 pm to 7 am). Work for this 24/7 operation is generally executed alone and outside core business hours. Support is needed on overnights, weekends, and holidays. This position pays $15/hr during day shifts and $17/hr during overnight shifts. This position is not eligible for benefits.
Roles & Responsibilities: The analyst reads and analyzes open-source and proprietary news feeds, determines their importance based on the clients' requirements, and compiles and sends news alerts to our clients. The analyst also facilitates communication between TRG team members around the globe and supports TRG programs as needed. Training will be provided.
Skills Required: Candidates must be at least an undergraduate junior or senior or a master’s candidate in international studies, public relations, or related field. Strong analytical/writing skills and a robust interest in international affairs/politics are necessary. International ‘news junkies' will enjoy this position. Foreign language proficiency desired. Must be reliable, trustworthy, and have the ability to multitask, meet deadlines, and know how to prioritize.
