Client Services Director

Job Description

The GreenPoint Group is seeking a dynamic, high integrity, and results‐oriented professional with the ability to serve clients well and interface with government, private sector, and other important constituencies. The right individual will have the ability to contribute meaningfully to discussions of high‐level strategy as well as demonstrate excellence in supporting execution of clients’ interests on specific initiatives. Organizational and execution abilities in China are of paramount importance in this role, as are communication skills and the ability to develop relationships with diverse constituencies.


This position offers a unique opportunity to connect public policy and business strategy in support of clients in key industries in China. Candidates should be able to demonstrate a track record of sound judgment in the context of complex political and commercial matters. Job Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities of the Client Services Director include (but are not limited to) the following:

Client Service

  • Within dynamic client team context, provide execution and advisory services on behalf of multiple GreenPoint’s clients that may entail:
  1. Strategy development, coordination and execution of client service delivery
  2. Memo and briefing paper drafting
  3. Trip logistics and meeting support
  4. Support short and long term client initiatives
  • Proactively work with team members to develop better, more innovative tools and methods of client service

Outreach and Intelligence Gathering

  • Effectively represent GreenPoint in outreaching to and engaging with stakeholders in the policy, commercial, academic, and social communities
  • Actively gather relevant policy, commercial, economic, and social research and intelligence

Business Development

  • Support and participate in business development activities

  • Natural ability to communicate comfortably and effectively (verbally and in writing in both Chinese and English) with key stakeholders and GreenPoint clients
  • Demonstrated pursuit of better methods in achieving objectives
  • An entrepreneurial spirit that thrives in a fast-paced and close‐knit work culture
  • Brings a strategic mindset to client services and the needs of corporate executives

Innovative, Entrepreneurial, Strategic

  • Demonstrated judgment and decision making capabilities
  • Substantive analytical experience with a deep understanding of China’s political, social, commercial, and economic dynamics

Job Requirements

  • Post‐graduate degree preferred
  • Five or more years professional working experience
  • Demonstrated commitment to advancing U.S.‐China relations
  • Fluent Chinese, fluent English
