Business Analyst, Seacor Holdings

Seacor Holdings (www.seacorholdings.com), a publicly traded firm, provides marine and aviation transportation and other services, primarily to the energy and commodities industries. In 2012, our 5000 employees earned revenues of $1.3 billion in more than two dozen countries on six continents (not Antarctica). We own and operate offshore marine vessels, tankers, barges, tug boats, and terminals; we lease aircraft; we are majority owners of an emergency and crisis response service; we trade sugar; and we have other smaller business interests.

Position Description

Seacor is launching an effort to significantly expand its services to American federal, state, and municipal governments which are seeking public‐private partnerships to improve services and reduce costs. As Business Analyst, you will work on all aspects of this project. In particular,you will help:

a. Craft and adjust Seacor’s strategy for this effort

b. Research water and air fleets (primarily fixed‐wing) of American governments

c. Analyze suitability of government programs for outsourcing, considering asset valuation and characteristics, fiscal environment, political climate, and contracting regulations

d. Create a plan to capture business, including crafting pitches, engagement of government officials, etc.

e. Devote some time each week to your “blue sky project”: an opportunity that you suggest to Seacor based on long‐term technological, demographic, economic, or energy trends

Job Qualifications

You must have an excellent academic record. Additional experience isdesirable:a. Independent analysis (preferably published) of a complex subject

b. Team experience

c. Basic financial analysis

d. Familiarity with marine or aviation industries, or their government analogues (e.g., Coast Guard, Navy, Air Force, National Guard, etc.)

e. Graduate degree
