Associate Director, JobLink (Volunteer)

Young Professionals in Foreign Policy (YPFP) fosters the next generation of foreign policy leaders by providing its members the knowledge, skills, exposure, and relationships to tackle critical global challenges over the course of their careers. YPFP is a dynamic, global, nonpartisan, nonprofit organization with more than 10,000 selected members around the world who work in all fields of international affairs. It was established in 2004, and is headquartered in Washington, DC, with branches in Brussels, London, and New York.

Position Description

YPFP JobLink was created specifically to cater to the needs of YPFP members by offering exclusive access to career opportunities and unlocking the powerful potential of one of the world’s largest networks of foreign policy professionals.  The Associate Director is responsible for leading current projects, while working in close partnership with the Director of JobLink to expand on future JobLink initiatives.  This is a volunteer position with a commitment to work with the JobLink team to execute present and future JobLink objectives.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Define metrics for success for projects and report to Director, JobLink;

  • Collaborate with the JobLink team on a regular basis, including attending monthly meetings and strategy sessions;

  • Formulate and execute current projects as well as coordinate future initiatives;

  • Oversee the completion of the monthly JobLink newsletter and the forming of JobLink’s future strategic vision

Eligibility and Requirements:

  • General (dues-paying) YPFP member based in Washington, DC area;

  • Demonstrated leadership experience

  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organization and management skills;

  • Strong communication, written, and people skills;

  • Highly motivated and responsible;

  • Availability to attend monthly JobLink Team meetings in-person;

  • Previous non-profit desirable
