We currently place fellows in Burundi, Malawi, Rwanda, Uganda, the United States, and Zambia.

Position Description

Global Health Corps is excited to announce that we are now accepting applications for the 2014-2015 fellowship!  Each year, we select exceptional and driven people with a variety of skill sets and experiences to participate in the fellowship. One-year paid fellowship positions are available with high impact NGOs and government organizations in Burundi, Malawi, Rwanda, Uganda, the United States, and Zambia. Applicants can apply for up to 3 fellowship positions that match their interests and skills, from project management to monitoring and evaluation, engineering, communications and more. We are looking for people from a broad range of sectors and disciplines. We provide our fellows with the tools to remain connected after theirfellowship year, deepening their ability to enact change through strengthened skills and many new partnerships.

Roles and Responsibilities

There is no single experience, background, quality or skill that makes someone the “right” candidate for the fellowship. Rather, we are looking for outstanding individuals who are seeking to apply their skills and their passion for health equity to a lifelong community of global changemakers. We do not expect that fellows will have a background in public health or that they have been involved in international development work before. We believe that global health organizations can greatly benefit from individuals who have worked in or studied a wide variety of fields. We strongly encourage applicants from all sectors to apply, including but by no means limited to engineering, finance, consulting, government, architecture, research, technology, and education. We are seeking a new brand of leaders-motivated individuals with both the concrete skills and the passion to help build the movement for health equity.
