Jeanette Bonifaz is a Latin America Fellow at Young Professionals in Foreign Policy (YPFP). Jeanette earned her BA in International Relations, Latin American Studies, and International Development from American University. Originally from Bolivia, she moved to the DC area 8 years ago. Her experiences range from working at advocacy and human rights organizations, like the Latin America Working Group and Greenpeace, to think tanks such as the Center for Economic and Policy Research and international organizations such as the Organization of American States and the Inter-American Development Bank. Her work has appeared online in Common Dreams, openDemocracy, the Council on Hemispheric Affairs, and CEPR’s The America’s Blog: Analysis Beyond the Echo Chamber.
