In Conversation With: Iran-Saudi Relations

The relationship between Iran and Saudi Arabia is one of the most critical geopolitical issues of the 21st Century. The nature and conduct of their relations has significant international and economic consequences, in addition to the more immediate regional implications.

In light of recent developments with respect to the Iranian nuclear deal, the sustained fall in oil prices, the protracted conflict in Syria, and tensions arising from executions of prominent clerics, the importance of this relationship is once again at the forefront of foreign affairs.

To discuss this issue we are delighted to welcome:

Fleur Cowan, First Secretary on the Iran portfolio at the US Embassy in London.

Michael Stephens, Research Fellow for Middle East Studies at RUSI, the defence and security think-tank.

We look forward to welcoming you to what will undoubtedly be a fascinating conversation.

Please note, this event will be run under Chatham House rules.
