YPFP is honored to announce a very special event. Please join us on Wednesday, September 21st for a live taping of the Global Dispatches podcast with host Mark Goldberg. Global Dispatches is a podcast about foreign policy and world affairs. Past guests include Nicholas Kristof, Priscilla ClappJeffrey Sachs, and Helen Clark.

Mark will chat with Dr. Sarah Sewall, Under Secretary of State for Civilian Security, Democracy, and Human Rights, who is in New York for the UN General Assembly.

Sewall_Sarah_200_1.jpgDr. Sarah Sewall is a longtime expert on civilian security and human rights. Dr. Sewall was sworn in as Under Secretary for Civilian Security, Democracy, and Human Rights on February 20, 2014. She serves concurrently as the Special Coordinator for Tibetan Issues. Over the previous decade, Dr. Sewall taught at the Harvard Kennedy School of Government, where she served as Director of the Carr Center for Human Rights Policy and directed the Program on National Security and Human Rights.
