Interns will assist in projects by conducting extensive research, attending meetings, and providing media analysis and monitoring. Interns may spend their time working on one specific project or supporting several programs. We encourage interns to write and publish blog posts on our website and topics can focus on a range of social and geopolitical issues related to global communications. Interns are also given the opportunity to attend speaking events in the DC area that focus on the Rendon Group’s areas of interest.
The candidate should be reliable, comfortable with deadlines, and possess excellent research and computer skills. The candidate should be self-motivated, demonstrate the ability to prioritize tasks, and be comfortable working both independently and as part of a team. The candidate should have knowledge of recent worldwide events and the ability to demonstrate an understanding of foreign affairs.
Expected start date is in September but is flexible for the right applicant. Fall internships are for 16-20 hours per week. Hours and days are flexible and can easily be arranged around the intern’s schedule. Interns will be assigned a workspace at our Washington, DC office and most work will be executed there, though there is the possibility of working remotely on occasion. At the end of the internship the intern will receive a stipend.
