YPFP Executive Director for Programming (Volunteer)
This is a senior leadership position in YPFP providing the opportunity to work with volunteers, foreign policy organizations, and senior foreign policy leaders to develop and coordinate many different types of events. Responsibilities include:
1) Developing the strategic direction of the YPFP programming in conjunction with the Vice President for Programming, recruiting new speakers, and generating innovative event concepts;
2) Recruiting, training, and managing the YPFP Programming Staff, and developing and recording best practices and procedures for these tasks;
3) Overseeing the planning and execution of all YPFP events in conjunction with the Vice President for Programming;
4) Coordinating with other members of the YPFP community, including Special Events staff, Discussion Groups staff, and fundraising staff, to provide programming expertise and support for events as required.
This is a crucial leadership position within YPFP requiring a strong commitment and the ability to respond to email during the day. The Executive Director should be prepared to organize at least one staff meeting per month and attend several events.
