YPFP Tools of the Trade: Social Media and You

October 09, 2013 07:00 pm

House of Commons (Room tbc) SW1A 0AA London
United Kingdom

Online communication and social media are becoming increasingly important resources for political professionals and savvy users can get a step ahead in their careers. Engaging in discussions with leading experts in your field, finding new contacts and making a name for yourself is possible if you know how.

The session will discuss the best ways to build professional contacts and expertise, which platforms are useful for particular goals, how to create a reputation and engage with readers and followers, and what things to avoid when using social media.

Our speaker is Antonia Mochan, the Head of Communication, Networks and Partnerships at the European Commission Representation in London. She also blogs (euonym.eu) and tweets (@euonymblog) about the EU, and on how to use social media and digital communication.
