 YPFP is pleased to invite you to a Global Diplomacy Series event with the Saudi Arabian Ambassador Abdallah Y. al-Mouallimi. This event will take place on Tuesday, April 16, from 6:30-8:00 PM, at the Permanent Mission of Saudi Arabia to the United Nations. Ambassador al-Mouallimi will address U.S.-Saudi relations and Saudi Arabia's engagement with the United Nations, as well as Middle East issues more broadly.

Ambassador Al-Mouallimi has been the Saudi Ambassador to the UN since June of 2011. Prior to that, Mr. Al-Mouallimi was ambassador to Belgium, Luxembourg and the European Union from 2007.  He was the Mayor of Jeddah, Saudi Arabia's second largest city, between 2001 and 2005, among numerous other leadership positions in the Government and the private sector. Mr. Al-Mouallimi was a member of the Shoura Council (Parliament) from 1997 to 2001, and sat on the boards of several Government organizations, including the General Organization for Military Industries.  His private-sector service included chairing the Jeddah Chamber of Commerce and the Egyptian Finance Company. Founder of the Dubai-based investment firm Dar al-Mouallimi Consulting Company and HBG Holdings, Mr. Al-Mouallimi has a master's degree in management from Stanford University and a bachelor's in chemical engineering from Oregon State University.


The Global Diplomacy Series offers YPFP members the opportunity to engage with the most distinguished diplomatic representatives in New York, including diplomats from permanent missions, consulates, and embassies. Discussions will typically be off-the-record, open to a limited number of attendees, and take place at the relevant embassy, residence, or cultural office.
