May 16, 2013 06:30 pm

Location

2900 K Street NW 20007 Washington
United States

Thursday, May 16 | 6:30pm

Residence of the Ambassador of Liechtenstein
2900 K Street, NW
Suite 602-A
Washington, DC 20007

Ambassador Fritsche will discuss her unique role as the first person from Liechtenstein to represent her government before the United Nations and the United States and will recount the challenges she overcame, the successes she enjoyed, and the memories she has as a diplomatic trailblazer.  Like the creative engineer behind a startup company, Ambassador Fritsche had to make many difficult decisions, forge new relationships, and rely primarily on her own intuition.  Effectively, she was engaging in startup diplomacy.

Guests will learn firsthand what goes into developing and maintaining new diplomatic relationships, and the process of setting diplomatic precedents for one’s country.  Guests will also be invited to ask questions of the Ambassador and gain insight into her personal experiences as a career diplomat.
