YPFP DC JobLink: How to Ace the Foreign Service Exam
On Monday, April 22nd at 6:30pm at CSIS (1800 K Street, NW, Washington, D.C. - B1 Conference Room), YPFP's Joblink will be hosting an open forum to field questions relating to the Foreign Service Exam. Ambassadors Teddy Taylor and Anthony Quainton (Ret.) have dedicated their time and wisdom to those aspiring or thinking about becoming a Foreign Service Officer and answer questions on how to best prepare and tackle the Foreign Service Exam. The major areas of focus include the Personal Narrative and Oral Assessment sections of the exam. Section one, the Written portion, will not be a focal point of the discussion but there will be suggested resources on how to pass it.
Ambassador Teddy Taylor is the current Ambassador to Papua New Guinea, Solomon Islands and Vanuatu with 35 years of experience as a Foreign Service Officer and also serves as Diplomat in Residence at Howard University. Ambassador Anthony Quainton (Ret.) is the current Diplomat in Residence at American Univeristy and former Director General of the Foreign Service and Director of Personnel with 38 years of Foreign Service experience.
The format of this event will be open forum where questions from the audience will be asked and then fielded by our guests. After you have completed registration for the event, feel free to submit a question relating to the second or third section of the exam to firstname.lastname@example.org. Please do not submit more than one question. Thank you and we look forward to seeing you on April 22nd!
