Please join YPFP's Global Health, Grand Strategy, and Africa Discussion Groups in a special joint public event featuring Dr. Jesse Bump. Bump is Assistant Professor in the Department of International Health at Georgetown University. He holds a PhD from the Institute of the History of Medicine at Johns Hopkins and an MPH in Global Health from the Harvard University School of Public Health. Before joining the faculty at Georgetown he was Takemi Fellow in International Health Policy at the Harvard School of Public Health. 

Bump has combined historical research with operational experience in modern international public health. He was a member of the Onchocerciasis (River Blindness) Coordination Unit of the World Bank for several years, where he worked to improve service delivery in the most remote parts of the sub-Sahara. He has also consulted for the World Health Organization and other important entities in global health.
